Top 20 ~ Item #2: Get SCUBA Certified

Last Sunday I had a mini-mental episode where I decided that I needed: a) an impulse vaca and b) needed to be alone and clear my head.

End result: I booked a Christmas Cruise from 24 - 29 Dec to Belize City & Cozumel, Mexico.  Little did I know there are opportunities for getting SCUBA CERTIFIED whilte on the boat!! Eek!  The best part, the cost of the cruise rolls up all the other costs that I would've incurred getting certified elsewhere.  TOO COOL!!

So - I will complete the pool and classroom time on the ship and then do my open water dives while in Cozumel...AND Item #2 on my list will be COMPLETE!!

Top 20 ~ Item #1: **UPDATE** - So, yeah, about THAT field trip. Darn you, Army!

So - I paid for that trip and never went.  My Army duties took precedence.  Ohh well, NEXT time.  On another note, I DID acquire a "Go-Pro" camera that can be used to document my action adventure TOP 20 items. 

Exciting, right?!

Top 20 ~ Item #1: **UPDATE** - I'm going on a Photo Fieldtrip in Philly!

Step 1 to Item #1 is complete.  I have the way cool camera. 

Now the next (and admittedly harder) step is learning how to use the dern thing! 

Never fear - I signed up for a class (disguised as a field-trip) in Philly.  You show up with your camera and they teach you how to use it, and you take pics in the process! 

I'm stoked and will keep you all posted!!   And, will POST pics, too!

Top 20 ~ Item #1: Get awesome camera, learn how to take awesome pics...

I went to California for my birthday.  It was excellent - I got to see my family (Aunts, Mother, Sister, Granny, Cousins)...we spent almost four days together. 

While I was out there my mom and I came together to purchase a camera that would help me with the very first item on my list:

1. Get an awesome camera, learn how to take awesome pics.

I also purchased a few books on how to use photoshop...WAY excited to get to using my camera.  I got a Nikon D3100...

It's Official

Hello world, it's official - I am 30 years old and about to embark on my Top 20!  I'm still working out the details of #11-20 on my list, but I'm sure I'll be able to populate those soon...I've tried to keep items off of the list that *should* happen anyway in the next 20 - You know, things like: getting married, having kids, saving the world ;)  That sort of thing!

Originally my intent was to dedicate one year of the next 20 preparing for, learning about, and embarking on my Top 20.  Then I realized, some of these things will lend themselves to many, MANY adventures and related events beyond an one year period and others will overlap for the rest of my life.  So...instead, I'm looking for my Top 20 to help me life life to its fullest for the next 20...and beyond! 

I look forward to updating you all about my progress and sharing in the fun!!
